Since the 15th of September, Arnold has been a starter only in the match against Villarreal, where he was substituted at the 52nd minute. In the Clasico, he made a token appearance, and he was absent from the Madrid Derby. In his latest four games, he has been a substitute. Mourinho favors players with superior physical attributes, and Arnold is only included in matches where the Portuguese coach believes the team is significantly superior. This season, he has been a first-choice starter just once away from home. This term, Arnold has been on the pitch for a total of 7 appearances, accumulating 344 minutes. Digne has played in 3 more games than him, with a total of nearly 600 minutes on the field.
