On April 17, 2009, the 16-year-old Thibaut Courtois made his professional debut with KRC Genk. After an impressive 698 matches, he is on the cusp of achieving the significant milestone of his 700th club appearance, which could come during the upcoming UEFA Champions League clash between Real Madrid and AEK Athens.
Moreover, during the recent encounter against Santander, Courtois marked his 500th appearance in La Liga, which also stands as his 346th game with Real Madrid. This milestone places him as the third most-capped goalkeeper in the club's history, following Casillas and Bijlow.
